This site is a gathering place for those opposed to the natural gas pipeline proposed by Sabal Trail Transmissions LLC, which might run from Alabama to central Florida through Southwest Georgia. Sabal Trail is a joint venture of Spectra Energy and NextEra Energy, the parent company of Florida Power and Light (FPL). This pipeline would feed an FPL power plant in Florida for no benefit to citizens of Alabama or Georgia, while tearing a 100 foot wide right of way through all three states. There’s no excuse for another natural gas pipeline when solar power is cheaper and brings jobs and energy.
Citizens and land owners in multiple counties and states are working together to stop this unnecessary pipeline.

Because Sabal is using Ga. law for threating eminent domain, be familiar with O.C.G.A. 22-3-80 through O.C.G.A. 22-3-88. Also RULES OF THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION DIVISION, Chapter 391-3-23 (Titled: Petroleum Pipeline Eminent Domain Permit Procedures).
