  1. Florida is comprised of many areas of Karst topology. We are state fraught with sinkholes. Not a stable area fora for profit gas line to export natural gas.

      What choice do we have …..but to surrender???????????It’s
      not so much the profit……they know they have alternatives..
      o.k. it could be the profit but why jepordize our lives and the
      aquifer…..native wildlife, landscape and well …..lets look at the
      poor folks in Virginia Right NOW!! ! Even boiling the water won’t
      work. In the name of Jesus Christ Almighty….Please help all of us
      now. The ones who need the work for their families…The ones who
      receive the power, “electricity , gas , energy ” Let’s look at the over all
      more responsible way for the planet we all depend on.

      2. Good Sunday Folks,
        We are still working on several issues in order to meet at the next
        Osceola County Commissioners meeting. At the moment the only people
        and or local Government officials who seem to know about this monumental
        issue are the ones being directly effected. It was very educating to here from
        Beth Gordon with many of the facts and figures which so many of us are just
        not aware. I look forward to a perfect outcome for the States effected and feel we
        are all blessed to have such knowledgeable people on the path.

  2. I’m a widowed 66-year-old Florida writer who just got my Sabal Trail (ST) letter yesterday. Routes here in Gilchrist Co. (W of Gainesville)are just being decided, but surveying of properties, including mine, is beginning. Application for a Certification of Convenience and Public Necessity is being made. My neighbor was told by ST that we should expect soon to be contacted by attorneys.

    I’m devastated. My husband and I built our woodsy cottage on 17 acres 31 yrs ago. It’s underlain by a karst aquifer and our property is dotted with gopher tortoises. A peaceful wildlife paradise. All my pets are buried here and my husband’s ashes are scattered in his favorite plot of woods. I planned on having at least 10 more yrs before I’d have to move, perhaps due to old age. Never imagined that my lovely home would ever be condemned to make way for sheer corporate profits. And there’s no place to turn. The Fla. Legislature long ago neutered the PSC.

    Urban friends are amazed at my horror. It’s “what I get” for opting to live in the middle of nowhere. Guess I shouldn’t be shocked. A mile west of me, Florida Gas Transmission has another pipeline. It’s about three-four yrs old and already has had a “minor” explosion at a dairy southwest of my property.

    What is the natural gas industry trying to do to us? All for the almighty buck.

This pipeline is proposed to go through the Happy Trails community in Kissimmee right through the the wetlands endangering our water source and disrupting what is already a fragile ecosystem.The only reason for targeting our area is that we have mantained a low empact building plan of five acres min. to build, preserving the wildlife and wetlands from the resorts and zero lot line home develeptments surrounding us.
    Please don’t allow this to go through our area and endanger a way of life that we have worked so hard to preserve!!!!

  7. Other country engineering leads progress on the planet with alternate examples of cleaner, more efficient, renewable sources of energy instead of fracking. Stop the
    pipeline insanity of greed, waste, and casualties of irremediable destruction!
