Which Houston, Texas pipeline company has sued Ted Turner, Bob Graham,
and dozens of other Georgia landowners, including a Georgia Centennial Farm?
That’s right, Spectra Energy, as in the Sabal Trail fracked methane boondoggle.

A Texas company wants to condemn private property in Georgia for a
pipeline to deliver energy to Florida.
Wouldn’t it be convenient for fossil fuel profits if the Sabal Trail pipeline was already in place and they started fracking? Received today as

The health of the people and the water of the state of Florida
being auctioned off by a block of elected politicians backed by big
oil company lobbyists. And our House representative is one of them.
September 17, the Florida League of Women voters called a town hall
in the Orlando area to address public concerns over industry plans
to practice hydraulic acid fracturing on our fragile limestone
aquifers. Not coincidentally, HB 191, and SB 318, bills that call
for preempting Home Rule laws, for the express purpose of greasing
the skids for fracking in Florida, were quietly introduced that same
day by Rep Ray Wesley Rodrigues, Ft. Myers and Senator Garrett

If you’re a Houston fossil fuel company and you can’t get FERC approval fast enough, try FE, or MARAD!
If that doesn’t work, ship it by land through Canada or Mexico!
Local property rights, they laugh at those! Rio Grande, Suwannee River, or Hudson River: just minor obstacles to greed!
If the people are tired of profit being more important than their land, water, air, or safety, it’s time to stop this fossil fuel shell game.
MARAD Continue reading The LNG export shell game: FERC, FE, MARAD, or NEB? →
The world’s largest pipeline company ran away from a hint of public scrutiny,
like FERC changed its commission meeting date to try to avoid protesters.
Maybe… public opinion matters?
The pipeline companies are watching all the opposition.
And the opposition is shadowing all the pipeline companies.
Score one for the opposition!
Plus plenty of opportunities coming up for more concerted opposition
against any new fossil fuel tentacles through our countryside or under our rivers.

FERC can’t stand the truth?

A developer in our City was told by the Sabal Trail right of way
acquisition people that the 36″ pipe would only be buried 3 feet deep
in non agricultural areas. My concern and that of other Veterans is
what happens to pipelines in Iraq where a man with a shovel can dig
up the dirt above a pipeline and then either tap into it or unleash
an act of terrorism. With all the ISIS attacks in America recently,
this pipeline is a “soft” target that has Continue reading This pipeline is a soft target that has inadequate security measures –Roger Marietta to FERC →
Canada’s FERC equivalent had to escalate from specific fines to a blanket clean-up order. Do you still believe Spectra is “a very genuine, safe, law-abiding company”?

The Drilldown: Spectra Energy faces NEB fines,
Spectra Energy Corp SE.N is feeling the heat from the National Energy Board (NEB). As Reuters reports, the Houston-based company is facing more than $120,000 in fines for committing almost 30 infractions at its Westcoast Energy processing plants in the last 15

You don’t know when a natural gas pipeline might be carrying oil.
