Spectrabusters encourages people to become active in opposing the Sabal Trail natural gas transmission pipeline by attending a relevant meeting, writing a letter to the editor, contacting FERC.gov , and becoming informed about this issue.

We have collected some information about FERC filings by Sabal Trail and have assembled contact information for many of the local governments along the pipeline path.

When relevant meetings are up coming, we try to make sure they are prominently featured in the blog so that people know to attend and speak up.

You can contact us by e-mail at contact@spectrabusters.org

  1. I have tried to get the list of the parties that are on the Spectra Pipe Line Map for my county.

I have wanted the names so that I can contact them regarding their signing etc.

Spectra refused. How do I go about getting those names and parcels in Sumter County, Florida??

  2. I just wanted to get on your e-mail list. My friend, Laura Dailey and I have attended FERC meetings together, and have let them know how we feel. We are SO opposed to this pipeline. Thank you for all the hard work you do, and thanks also to everyone who is speaking out against it. Just returned from the Davis Landing Site on the Santa Fe River. The water is so high that you cannot even see the “wetlands delineation” markers Sabal had posted. I am guessing that they are under water.

  3. We were successful in stopping Hess-LNG/Weaver’s Cove Energy, from siting an LNG import terminal in our city (Fall River, MA). Eversource Energy and Spectra Energy, now want to construct 2 enormous LNG holding tanks in Acushnet, MA, about 18 miles from Fall River and close to New Bedford, MA (think Moby Dick!), and folks there have asked for our support. Since you are ‘SpectraBusters’, and, while I’ve printed out some 8 pages of violations for Spectra from the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, can you add any information to our opposition? It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    1. Practically All information concerning the Sabal Trail pipeline is posted on Spectrabusters.org and WWAls.net.

Is there anything in particular you would like to know or help with Mr. Carvalho? If so please contact us @spectrabusters@gmaildotcom

      Thank you!!!

  4. Besides ruining the land, there are severe health impacts when the gas compressor stations start running and the pipelines are placed in operation. These facilities will generate a Low Frequency Noise (LFN) that causes sickness and death. Several people have died in Texas because of this type noise. The Portuguese Human Develop Center in Lisbon, Portugal named the symptoms Vibro Acoustic Disease (VAD). It is a whole body pathology, not just a hearing issue. Each of our body systoms operate at a different LFN. When the LFN intensity generated by oil/gas facilities is above a system’s limit bad things happen.

  5. Greetings,

I’m on the Green Party Commitee here in South Florida. We too are concerned with regards to this pipeline and would like to offer any assistance we can. I’ll be informing the rest and will refer others to this site. I know everyone on the committee feels the same way as I do when I say we will do all we can to prevent this pipeline from happening.

  6. Hello,

I am writing to you because I thought it might be a good idea to set-up a multi-city protest against the Sabal Trail Pipeline on January 1st. This I think would be a good day because most people are not working and many people have off the next day. Also I checked the football games are all scheduled for the 2nd. Making this day where more people could come and more people might notice the protestors. I think this would start off the year showing that the people of Florida do not want this pipeline and that it is not good for the future. I need your help though to make this happen. I only have a limited number of people that I can inform but if one or several organizations shared this with people we could really reach a lot of people and make more people take notice.

I tried emailing you but the email address failed twice. I will also send you a message on facebook.

    Thank you,
    Colleen
