JACKSONVILLE FLA: DOE GRANTS LONG-TERM, MULTI-CONTRACT ORDER TO EXPORT & PROCESS LNG BY TRAIN TRUCK OR SEA VESSEL FROM, OR IN ISO CONTAINERS LOADED FROM EAGLE LNG’s FACILITY AT ST JOHN’S RIVER, TO FTA NATIONS

Fracking Industry, Sabal Trail pipeline, LNG Export To Other Countries With No need or Necessity for the Citizens of our Florida as well as Georgia and Alabama. If you ever questioned the plan to export fracked gas then this should quell those misconceptions!

Heads up Jacksonville and the citizens of the state of Florida! The first major LNG processing of fracked natural gas, transportation via truck and train — moving bombs as experienced in other states that have been invaded by the fracked gas export/transport pipelines through populated areas — has been given the Green Light.

The DOE has permitted Eagle LNG with a Continue reading JACKSONVILLE FLA: DOE GRANTS LONG-TERM, MULTI-CONTRACT ORDER TO EXPORT & PROCESS LNG BY TRAIN TRUCK OR SEA VESSEL FROM, OR IN ISO CONTAINERS LOADED FROM EAGLE LNG’s FACILITY AT ST JOHN’S RIVER, TO FTA NATIONS

Cost to KMI of Palmetto Pipeline Suspension and other pipeline opposition

The financial press amusingly tries to spin Kinder Morgan’s suspension yesterday of its Palmetto petroleum products pipeline as a positive. Meanwhile, Sabal Trail still needs stopping even after the historic win in the Georgia legislature, and remember KMI is in bed with Sabal Trail on on the Jacksonville Expansion Project (JEP) from Suwannee County, FL to Jacksonville, FERC Docket No. CP15-144.

Matthew DiLallo, Motley Fool, 31 March 2016, Kinder Morgan Inc. Presses Pause on the Palmetto Pipeline Project: The Palmetto Pipeline is halted due to eminent domain dispute.,

The Palmetto Pipeline project was initially Continue reading Cost to KMI of Palmetto Pipeline Suspension and other pipeline opposition

What companies are in Sabal Trail and related?

Who is Sabal Trail, anyway? Counties resolving against Sabal Trail might want to make their resolutions against any new pipeline, since there’s already another one proposed for Suwannee County (see below).

Sabal Trail owned and operated by….

Reviving a pipeline idea that failed in the Florida PSC in 2009, FPL put out a request for proposals that was won by Sabal Trail in 2013. Note the original proposed Sabal Trail path in the map below did not go through Georgia; why that changed is a long story apparently only known in full to Spectra, FPL, and Williams Co.

Sabal Trail Transmission, LLC was formed by Continue reading What companies are in Sabal Trail and related?

Sierra Club opposes new natural gas electric generating units: good news against Sabal Trail

The excuse for Spectra’s Sabal Trail pipeline is new natural gas electric generating units in Florida. FPL calls this “modernizing“, which is an odd word for using 20th century fossil fuels when 21st century solar power, conservation, and efficiency is ready right now for the Sunshine State. Adding to their opposition to LNG export, the Sierra Club Board of Directors has adopted this new policy:

“Natural Gas: The Sierra Club opposes new electric generating units powered by natural gas, including peaking and combined cycle units. Consistent with the Board’s goal of eliminating all fossil fuels from the electric sector no later than 2030, it is critical that the US avoid further high-capital investments in new natural gas plants and related infrastructure.”

This is in Sierra Club’s Continue reading Sierra Club opposes new natural gas electric generating units: good news against Sabal Trail

Massive opposition to KMI Palmetto Pipeline in Waynesboro + Sabal Trail

Most of the 400 people at the final Georgia Department of Transportation hearing vehemently opposed Kinder Morgan’s Palmetto petroleum products Pipeline. There’s still time to ask GDOT to deny the Palmetto permit. Now is the time also to ask GDOT to deny any permits for the Sabal Trail fracked methane pipeline, and for Georgia Governor Nathan Deal and Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle to oppose Sabal Trail like they just said they oppose the Palmetto Project.

That’s SpectraBusters ally Gretchen Elsner of the Georgia Climate Coalition on the Friday front page of the Savannah Morning News, Clapping in the blue shirt is Continue reading Massive opposition to KMI Palmetto Pipeline in Waynesboro + Sabal Trail

Post a bond if Palmetto Pipeline is not for export –Steve Willis to Kinder Morgan in Savannah

Calling their bluff at their very first “public hearing”, longtime environmental activist Steve Willis told Kinder Morgan that if they didn’t want the public to believe that their pipeline is for export, when it so conveniently runs past KM’s proposed Elba Island LNG export terminal and to Jacksonville where Jaxport is gearing up for LNG export, they should post a $100 million bond. Watch the KM rep’s face as soon as Steve says “export”; sure looks like “OMG, he’s on to us!”

Steve noted there is no local demand for KM’s petroleum products, and exports drive up local prices anyway. You don’t have to believe Steve, you can believe Continue reading Post a bond if Palmetto Pipeline is not for export –Steve Willis to Kinder Morgan in Savannah

Sabal Trail to TECO to Jaxport for LNG export?

Marcellus Shale fracked methane through Atlantic Sunrise to Transco to Sabal Trail to TECO to Jaxport for LNG export? And maybe an explanation for why Sempra Energy, like Spectra Energy, donated to both GA Gov. Nathan Deal’s and AL Gov. Robert Bentley’s re-election campaigns. Sempra apparently wants to export Marcellus Shale gas from Jacksonville, and Sabal Trail is the proposed conduit for that through Alabama and Georgia to Florida.

JAX-based Crowley authorized to export LNG from Martin County, Florida

Why didn’t FERC or Sabal Trail or FPL or Williams tell us about LNG export to FTA countries authorized by FE in 2011, before Sabal Trail and the others even submitted their pre-filing applications to FERC?

The Carib Energy that has requested authorization for LNG export to non-FTA countries: we’ve heard of them before. Carib’s parent company Crowley Maritime is based in Jacksonville, FL, and Jaxport is also eyeing LNG export, plus a closer connection.

Remember, Crowley already has authorization from U.S. DoE’s Office of Fossil Energy (FE) to export to Free Trade Agreement countries: Continue reading JAX-based Crowley authorized to export LNG from Martin County, Florida

I’d go ahead and let the gas go into the global market. –T. Boone Pickens

The co-founder of the company building the LNG facility at Jaxport is all for exporting natural gas, even if it means rising domestic prices.

Remember T. Boone Pickens is a co-founder of Clean Energy Co.? Paul Toscano wrote for CNBC 15 May 2013, Boone Pickens on Gas Exports: ‘Move It Out and Sell It’,

“The producers have gone out and drilled for the natural gas. They should be entitled to get the best markets in the world, so let them have it,” Continue reading I’d go ahead and let the gas go into the global market. –T. Boone Pickens
