Spectra proposes five compressor stations along its Sabal Trail Transmission gas pipe: Alexander in Tallapoosa County, AL, Albany in Dougherty County, GA, Hildreth in Suwannee County, FL, Dunnellon in Marion County, FL, and Reunion in Osceola County, FL. Why should we expect them to be any safer than the ones in Maine or Pennsylvania?

I heard there was to be a compressor station in Gilchrist County Fla too.

  There is already a compressor station in Gilchrist County Fl. It’s located in Trenton and has been operational for several years.

Maybe that was a proposed location, or maybe Sabal Trail is changing things, but the closest one announced to Gilchrist County is Hildreth Compressor Station in Suwannee County, Florida. -jsq

  It’s called the Dunnellon Compressor Station, but it’s even closer to Hernando in Citrus County, just across the Withlacoochee (South) River.
