Most of the issues are the same for Spectra Energy’s invading Sabal Trail fracked methane pipeline as for Kinder Morgan’s invading Palmetto petroleum products pipeline that is the subject of the movie. Thanks to Push Back the Pipeline for getting this movie made about Kinder Morgan’s proposed petroleum products pipeline from South Carolina across the Georgia coast to Jacksonville, Florida. Spectra Energy of Houston, Texas wants to gouge Sabal Trail from Alabama through southwest Georgia to Orlando, connecting to more pipelines and a railroad through much of Florida. There’s no excuse for this pipeline boondoggle now that solar power is faster, cheaper, and far cleaner and safer than any other power source, especially for the Sunshine State.
You can help fight this fossil fuel profiteering by joining WWALS Watershed Coalition or one of the many other organizations opposing this pipeline boondoggle and fighting for our rivers, springs, and aquifer, and for a sunny future for the southeast. You can also write to the Army Corps of Engineers, petition your elected officials, or other actions listed in this web page.

The PSC has allowed the Sabal Trail PL to happen due to the large amounts of money paid to Florida’s fine politicians by FPL.
The Sabal Trail pipe is not needed the other large already existing pipeline could provide much of the needed gas to FPL with very little new construction or money to be back charged to the customers of FPL.
The Federal government will be needed to intervene as local and state government cannot govern for the people and by the people.
This is absolutely despicable behaviour and a showing a complete disregard for our precious natural beauty that characterizes the area!! We as a society ARE transitioning toward the use of renewable energy, so as far as I’m concerned these greedy, environment killing deplorable fossil fuel clowns can take their polluting ways and shove them right where the sun doesn’t shine… IF YOU GUYS WANT TO POLLUTE SOMETHING, TAKE YOUR ASSES TO CHINA AND LIVE WITHOUT PROTECTION IN THEIR SMOG CITIES! You are a TX company with no business in FL, so please take your narrow minded ignorance elsewhere because we Floridians WILL NOT stand for it! This pipeline CANNOT and WILL NOT go through, no matter what the cost of opposition will be. My favorite place in the country will be directly impacted and it’s natural and untouched beauty diminished, not to mention the high probability for leakage into one of the most unique rivers in the nation… SO NO, JUST NO, FL-GA DOES NOT WANT YOUR ARCHAIC TECH HERE NOW OR EVER, so please stick to polluting your own selves, because this is absolutely and wholly unacceptable!!
