JACKSONVILLE FLA: DOE GRANTS LONG-TERM, MULTI-CONTRACT ORDER TO EXPORT & PROCESS LNG BY TRAIN TRUCK OR SEA VESSEL FROM, OR IN ISO CONTAINERS LOADED FROM EAGLE LNG’s FACILITY AT ST JOHN’S RIVER, TO FTA NATIONS

Fracking Industry, Sabal Trail pipeline, LNG Export To Other Countries With No need or Necessity for the Citizens of our Florida as well as Georgia and Alabama. If you ever questioned the plan to export fracked gas then this should quell those misconceptions!

Heads up Jacksonville and the citizens of the state of Florida! The first major LNG processing of fracked natural gas, transportation via truck and train — moving bombs as experienced in other states that have been invaded by the fracked gas export/transport pipelines through populated areas — has been given the Green Light.

The DOE has permitted Eagle LNG with a

20 year contract to export liquid natural gas — LNG — to other countries via Jacksonville Florida at a location on the St. John’s River. This will include shipments via train, truck and cargo ships.

As stated in the permit. The natural gas will be stored onsite at and processed to highly explosive liquified natural gas (LNG) for transport via an onsite facility. This LNG will be transported via train, truck and sea shipping vessels.

“Eagle LNG states that, at full build-out, the Jacksonville Project will include three LNG trains having the capacity to produce approximately 45.5 MMcf/d of natural gas per train, for a total capacity of 49.8 Bcf/yr (0.14 Bcf/d) of natural gas for the three trains. Current plans include the construction of one LNG storage tank with a capacity of 12 million gallons, a marine load-out facility, a dock that can accommodate both small to mid-size LNG vessels (for export to nearby markets) and bunkering barges (for domestic ship fueling at the Port of Jacksonville), and a truck load-out facility.”

” Eagle LNG states that its planned Facility, the Jacksonville Project, will occupy approximately 54 acres within an approximately 194-acre parcel on the St. Johns River to be owned wholly by Eagle LNG. Eagle LNG states that it has an executed contract to purchase the property site. According to Eagle LNG, the site is zoned for industrial use and is adjacent to sites which currently host other bulk fuel terminals.”

According to Eagle LNG, the Facility will receive natural gas transported by a local gas distribution utility (Peoples Gas, a TECO Energy Company) through existing pipeline facilities located adjacent to the Jacksonville Project site.”

Some of this natural gas will be provided to Eagle LLC via TECO who plans to pipe back up Sabal Trail’s fracked gas and the rest via Sabal Trail via a pipeline to run through Columbia, Suwannee, and Gilchrist as well as additional pipelines interstate and from already fracked regions of the USA such as Pennsylvania. See the subsequent blog about who now owns TECO.

Prepare yourselves Floridians as Florida is in the process of being ‘invaded’, our water and lands destroyed and our very lives endangered by the Sabal Trail fracked gas pipeline, related LNG processing and transportation of volatile liquid natural gas amongst the population. There are already operational, smaller (‘LNG in a Box’), LNG processing facilities with no regulation by FERC in populated areas.

Please consider becoming involved in stopping this dangerous invasion of fracked gas infrastructure for export today for the future of our children.
