An air quality permit for the proposed Albany compressor station
is one of many local and state permits FERC requires Sabal Trail to get.
This is a big one, because no compressor station, no pipeline.
Roger Marietta remarks:
You can email Georgia EPD prior to August 8th GA EPD:
firstname.lastname@example.org re: application # 23350 (Air Quality Permit
Application) focus on methane and other toxic gases leaking and
being blown off during pressure releases and unburnt gases and CO2
from the continuously running compressor station power turbines. Ask
for a public hearing as well.
Recommend you send more than one comment and focus on a different
issue each time.
Copy email@example.com on your ecomment to GA-EPD and we’ll
probably blog it.
And don’t forget to
call GA Governor Deal and sign the petition to him.
Do it now, or you may
hear that compressor sound in your sleep.
FERC can’t stand the truth?
Here’s what Roger Marietta wrote that you still can’t see through FERC’s elibrary, which is still broken eight hours later.

A developer in our City was told by the Sabal Trail right of way
acquisition people that the 36″ pipe would only be buried 3 feet deep
in non agricultural areas. My concern and that of other Veterans is
what happens to pipelines in Iraq where a man with a shovel can dig
up the dirt above a pipeline and then either tap into it or unleash
an act of terrorism. With all the ISIS attacks in America recently,
this pipeline is a “soft” target that has Continue reading This pipeline is a soft target that has inadequate security measures –Roger Marietta to FERC
Call the Georgia Governor, ecomment to FERC, and boycott Florida Tourism,
Albany and Dougherty County leaders ask.
Call Georgia Governor Nathan Deal today!
Remember to sign the petition Continue reading Call GA Gov. Deal, boycott Florida tourism, say Dougherty County leader
to FERC, even demands, aren’t working, not even from elected officials at
every level, city (Albany), county (Dougherty), state (Georgia), and federal.
Now they are escalating to demonstrations and flooding FERC with
comments while getting in the news.

Top leaders meet to stop the Sabal Trail,
For years local leaders have been fighting against the Sabal Trail

Marietta and other top leaders all got together in one room, for one
reason: to stop the Sabal Trail from happening.

A FERC comment submission form appears along with a letter by Roger Marietta, Albany City Councilman, in the Georgia Sierra Club newsletter based on the recent Albany Herald silent protest story about Spectra Energy of Houston Texas’ invading Sabal Trail fracked methane pipeline and its Albany compressor station. Excerpt:
It is clear that the Sabal Trail Pipeline will destroy our local environment, and is hazardous to private property, health, and the local economy. The evidence has shown that this massive pipeline is not needed; Continue reading Sierra Club FERC comment submission form for Sabal Trail Albany Compressor
Albany and Dougherty County are more opposed than ever to the invader from Houston.

Silent protest focuses on pipeline issues:
Citizens gather to oppose natural gas pipeline, compressor station,
Even as a group of around 50 anti-pipeline activists gathered
Saturday for a “silent protest” near the proposed site
of a compressor station that would be part of the 460-mile Sabal
Trail natural gas pipeline, an assumed candidate for Continue reading Silent protest against Sabal Trail in Albany, GA
